How do I become a member?
Please complete the Become a Member form, sign the Family Agreement and pay the annual membership fee. It’s that easy!
When are your sitters available?
We have sitters available 24 hours a day, including overnight stays!
Will I be able to request the same Sitter every time?
We understand that you may become comfortable with a particular Sitter and we will do our best to confirm your preferred Sitter, when available. Once you Become a Member you will have the ability to add Sitters to your Favorites list and request those Sitters at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee a sitter’s availability.
How will I know who my Sitter is?
Once a Sitter is confirmed for your request, you will receive an email containing a photo and a short bio about the Sitter. The Sitter will also call you a day before your appointment to introduce herself.
How do you background check your Sitters?
The annual background check includes the following:
- National Statewide Criminal Search
- National Known Sex Offender Search
- Social Security Verification/Previous Address Update
- Death Master Index
- Checks all Alias Name for Criminal Records
How do you recruit your Sitters?
Currently, all of our Sitters are referred to us by each other. From time to time, we will recruit from the Education and Nursing Departments at the local colleges and universities. For safety purposes, we do not recruit online.
How will I request a Sitter?
Once you have completed the Become a Member process you will have access to your Time Out Sitters Member Portal where you can easily click to request a Sitter from any device!
What are your hours of operation?
We have Sitters available 24 hours a day.
Phone calls and emails will be answered and returned between the following hours:
- Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Sunday: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
How will I pay the Sitter?
At the end of your appointment, the Sitter will present you with an itemized receipt for your review. Using the payment methods on your profile, you will be able to approve and pay the Sitter instantly! We accept all major credit cards.
Do you provide nanny services?
We specialize in temporary babysitting services. Our Sitters have flexible schedules, however they are not available full time.
